Built to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the Multi-Touch touchscreen interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, zoom in and out on a section of a web page, and control game elements precisely.

How it Works
The Multi-Touch display layers a protective shield over a capacitive panel that senses your touch using electrical fields. It then transmits that information to the LCD screen below it. iPod touch software enables the flick, tap, and pinch.

Type with the Touchscreen Keyboard
iPod touch features an intelligent touchscreen keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, getting directions on a map, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts. It analyzes keystrokes to suggest words as you type and correct spelling errors automatically. And because it’s software based, it changes its keys to support typing in multiple languages.

iPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks.

Accelerometer
iPod touch responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer.

Responds to Movement
iPod touch detects when you rotate it from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display. So you immediately see the entire width of a web page, view a photo in its proper aspect ratio, or control a game using only your movements.

How it Works
The accelerometer inside iPod touch uses three elements: a silicon mass, a set of silicon springs, and an electrical current. The silicon springs measure the position of the silicon mass using the electrical current. Rotating iPod touch causes a fluctuation in the electrical current passing through the silicon springs. The accelerometer registers these fluctuations and tells iPod touch to adjust the display accordingly.

Perfect for Gaming
Accelerometer technology really shines when you play games because it immerses you in the action. It’s perfect for racing games–where your entire iPod touch acts as a steering wheel–and for tap-and-tilt games like Super Monkey Ball, in which your character responds to your every movement.

Wireless
Connect iPod touch to the Internet anywhere there’s a wireless network.

Connect Automatically
iPod touch locates nearby wireless hotspots, including protected networks. If you’ve never used a particular network, it asks you to enter a password the first time, and it remembers the password from then on. So the next time you’re within range, it connects automatically.

Surf’s Up
Now you can send email from a coffee shop. Surf the web at the airport. Shop for games from your couch. Browse, buy, and download music from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store at select Starbucks locations or other wireless hotspots in your area.

When I bought my second generation iPod Touch 32GB MP3 player, I was in heaven! I loved this unit, the user experience all the applications and the ability to store movies and MP3s and still room in 1600, was a dream come true.

Then came the nightmare.

run with all the updates in iTunes on the Touch is not as it should. Genius playlist causes a lot of problems.

Now my touch screen does not respond, or should be used toBarely a month after the warranty and after an iTunes update.

Genius playlist in iTunes is turned off, but always touching the research. An error message appears to let me know Playlist not found … no joke … I have one, nor do I intend to do so. Then, after playing about 6 songs, the screen was black with a white apple in the center, only the new party for any reason.

The battery drains quickly wants to play the note when a song then go to tap restartthe screen to return to the main menu, the music stops only, black screen appears again. The Touch also goes down without warning, I never had this problem before. It takes more than 10 seconds after pressing the top button and the windshield button to start it. Once screen appears, it takes several slides of the "slide to unlock" to get to the main screen when I understood nothing. Sometimes, it just goes back to black screen with the apple whiteEast.

Connecting to a computer with iTunes wants to go to the contact of things to do, without even touching the screen, a particular song, I will bring YouTube videos to go on, my everything without touching, to do so.

Even on some menus I am trying to change settings, you can give the image a split second to decide what changes they want. The mirrors back and forth is annoying. One problem that I never had until the last 3 updates.

I used iTunes to restorereset the device and any applications loaded and mp3 to it, without success, the problems even worse.

I spent 400.00, plus an extra 9.99 for the update to make it as models of the third generation of this device is not working for him the last 14 months? In many ways I am beginning to believe that Apple is like Microsoft updates do with the lack of peripherals than previous models, or types of equipment, provided they buy their latest products to think "consumers more work."

Excellent product, used everyday – Jeffrey Coulter – Philadelphia
I want to buy this product again. I use my ipod touch and love everyday ease and convenience, the touch screen offers me. It 's so easy to use and the screen is beautiful. I wish the world was wifi so you can access the Internet, are wherver, but applications and podcasts to the device are fantastic!

How to make a iPod battery

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The iPod battery is a small piece of material that seems fragile. If you want more, that your iPod's battery live longer, here are some suggestions. Some will probably seem pretty obvious. But just because they are not me, it makes no sense.

First off. It 'important to keep the battery at room temperature. Too hot or too cold will aim to better performance, Apple docs about 20 degrees Celsius. Wait for the> IPod is at this temperature before using.

There is a great feature on iPod, you also help with battery. The hold mechanism. Why you ask? Well, if you're not with your iPod, and have in your pocket, you can accidentally press the Play button, or otherwise, which is one piece and devoured several battery livelihoods. So if you're not with the iPod, hold that sucker!

You should also recharge your iPod whenAnd 'flat. This will ensure more pe better life for your iPod. Remember, there are some batteries that, even at rest, so if you do not use it, it is possible that the old battery. In any case, wait until this happens before loading.

If you have your iPod, put it in sleep mode. To do this, press the PLAY button for a few seconds, appear as if it is off. You can also use the pause button as far as possible, while listening to music, but musthearing for one reason or another. The pause button is obviously useless to the game and there does nothing to stop the use of batteries.

The option of backlighting. I personally do not use the backlight when it is really necessary, as at night. I have the ability to launch at this time. The rest of the time is off. Lights use batteries, so it will take less time if the backlight is on. The same can apply for the equalizer. I do not think you use this option because they are notby a sound professional, I can not even tell the difference with it enabled or disabled. Will be stripped and use much less battery life.

Changing tracks with Back and Forward buttons may also shorten the life of the battery. This is because every time I change iPod tracks, you must open the hard drive that uses the battery life apparently.

All in all, the suggestions I received and tested that seem to last longer on my iPod a lot.

Enjoy and have fun!
